So I have tickets to Comic-Con in July, and Dave Matthews and Tchaikovsky in August. Tell me I'm not going to have to take my nephew...again.
Seriously, I've got lots of girlfriends who'd go to any or all of those with me, but not a single one of them understands the difference between Dalaran and a dollar.
If you're in (or reasonably near) Orange County, message me and let's figure this out.

You can just walk in for free? How about spreading the love to a fellow DCer? I want to go but my dumb ass didnt get tickets in time. I could have sworn I bought them early this year, but after checking my email it turns out those were last years tickets.

haha niiiice and I get to walk in for free because Im a city employee =p

Wait, srsly? City employees get to walk in there for free? I am hunting for a new job, will now be checking to see what the city has to offer. HAHA if I can go to the convention center any time I damn well please, that is such a better perk than what federal employment has to offer.

be a fire marshal lol they get to walk in for "head counts" =p

Sweet, can you pull some strings for me? I do have firefighting and fire marshal experience. HAHA if I had to count heads in that place, I would be there all day. Ive never seen the convention center so packed as when comic con rolls into town.

I go for free, too, because I've published a couple of science fiction stories. According to Comic-Con, that makes me an "industry professional." Only works for three years, though, and this is year 3. I've got to get writing or next year I'll be SOL.

Ooh, I was supposed to go to Comic Con this year but work's crazy right now. My sister's going though.
You don't need to bring anyone, just go and meet people there! ![]()

Met a lot of great people, actually: the cutest little naval officer with dreams of writing sci fi (really wish she'd return my e-mail, but I suspect it's a lost cause); a transplant from Kazakhstan who wants to be a translator (gave me a chance to practice my Russian); a woman 7 inches taller than me who was a great kisser (hehe); and an aspiring comic book writer who works for R.A. Salvatore (she was too young for me, though). Met a couple of nice guys too, but having been single for six months the women I met tend to stick out in my mind.
