Ok, so I guess this question is for the girls out there, but what is up with giving the silent treatment?  I dont know if my girlfriend is dead, mad at me, phone and computers broken or what.  Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

well if you want her to reply (she's gonna be mad as fuck) but send a massage like "well you can fu.. yourself too" be a insulting as possible and make it seem like its in the middle of a conversation (so you can say you and a friend were fighting and accidentally messaged her).
trust me you'll have a "and what the fuck is your problem" text 3sec's after she reads it.

HAHA no... I dont know if napolean complex can apply to women, but in her case, it does.  Pissing her off even more is not the thing to do.

Guilty as charged! I've done this before with my ex. Just give her time to cool down, she'll come around smile

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

How long can you continue to love someone when it feels like that love is one sided?

Seriously considering becoming gay.  I wonder if gay men have these issues.

some people you never get over but you have to make the choice which is more painful walking away or staying.
if its 1sided do yourself a favor and leave or you may very well know what hell is like.

p.s. yes gays have these issues.

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

This has never happened to me with a girlfriend, but it happens every once in a while with women I meet. You think things are fine, then suddenly you realize that your last 3 or 4 text messages or e-mails haven't been returned.

I just don't get that. If I feel as though I'm losing interest in someone, I'll let them know. It's absolutely 100% effective, even if it sometimes takes some convincing. But to just ignore someone without explanation? That's just chickensh*t and immature. Even a "piss off, loser" is way better than that.

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

Usually, honestly, I go silent if I decide that I don't really like the person that I was talking to, but I don't really want to tell them because I don't want to hurt them. Usually it's because I Like them as a person, but don't want a relationship.

I dunno. I'm fucked up, though.

I for one would much rather be hurt than to no know anything at all.  As a side note, everything is great again!!!

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

What if she wants to save your relationship by being silent? Will you ask her still the reason behind?

Save the relationship? Silence in a relationship is what destroys it. Believe me.

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

Silence can be a loud statement. It can change its definition according to the perspective of the individual's standpoint. People mourn, relish moments, admire, become jealous, and amplify the disagreement of an argument using silence. It is an ultimate and integral tool in communicating with one another.

Re: WTF is up with the silent treatment?

What I dont understand is how everything can be going fine and you ask a person is evrything ok and they say yes and then the next morning they disapear with the silence its like they fell off the face of the earth.....
